BLURB:
After the empire falls, cyborg soldier Leonidas Adler must avoid the Alliance operatives who want him for secrets only he knows, but that's easier said than done. Worse, his past threatens those he's traveling with, including Alisa, the freighter captain he has come to care about.
A short, yet quite nice story that adds to the overall story of the series quite nicely in my opinion. I love seeing how Leonidas' and Alisa's relationship is starting to grow. Slowly. Ever so slowly. It's rather obvious that Alisa is into Leonidas, but Leonidas is so dense that he has no friggin' idea about it! But what I really liked about this short story was the fact that it was told from Leonidas' POV.

“Alisa,” he said softly, waving for her to come back. He gave a subvocal command for the case to stay put by the side of the building, then told her, “Side trip.”
“Oh? Somewhere exotic?” She arched an eyebrow toward the ladder.
“It depends on how exotic you consider rooftops.”
