BLURB:
What's your lucky number?Lyla Wilder is done being the shy, chemistry nerd extraordinaire. While every other college student is out having fun, Lyla is studying. With her cat. Well, she's played it "safe" quite enough, thank you. So she creates a "College Bucket List"?with item #7 being a night of uninhibited, mind-blowing sex...But she needs some help from her man-whore best friend.Hockey player Beck Davenport thought Lyla's transformation would be subtle. Man, was he wrong. With every item she ticks off, Beck finds himself growing seriously hot for his sweet, brainiac best friend. And if he's not careful, he'll end up risking their friendship in order to convince Lyla that he might just be her lucky #7...
A bit cliché with all the "she's too good for me" and "(s)he's my best friend, I don't want to ruin our friendship but I'm really attracted to his/her body". Not all that memorable, but kind of sweet nonetheless and while I actually liked it, there were also parts that I wasn't a big fan of. For instance, there were a few plot moments that were so predictable that drove me a bit nuts. Especially the ending.
There are times when I really enjoy reading about makeovers and such, but there's actually quite a few things that I could rant about ... For instance, Lyla's decision to dress differently in order to appeal to the male audience. Damn, girl, dress however you want - be it in sweats and baggy sweatshirts or in short skirts and low cut tops, but just be yourself.

I actually felt a bit uncomfortable just for Lyla's sake as she felt that she needed to change the way she dressed just because some dude said that she was plain. Also, I feel that it would've been a bit better if Beck had noticed Lyla in a romantic manner before she did her makeover because then it would've felt a bit more believable that he actually liked her for her rather than her curves that "suddenly" appeared under all those layers of clothes...
It was a cute and quick read; not the best one out there, but not bad either.
