Sarah Andersen's second comics collection picks up right where the first left off - huddled under a pile of blankets avoiding the responsibilities of the real world. These new comics (and illustrated personal essays!) follow the ups and downs of the unrelenting self-esteem roller coaster that is young adult life: budgeting woes, cramps, the nuances of sweater theft, and the joy of staying home all day with a box of pizza. All aboard.
This is the second book in Sarah's Scribbles series. As you probably figured out already, I am a fan of her comics (not a big fan, but a casual one). Because I really like her drawing style, and the comics are short and funny. And cute!
There is not much Ito say about this, other than it is as good as the first one. Still relatable, still funny and of course enjoyable.
There is a small difference in this book, compared to the first one - in the end, about after 2/3 of the book, the author has started to add like a bit of a backstory to her comics. About her personal life and how these situations are for her. It is really welcoming as it gives a bit of a hindsight about the idea behind that specific comic.
As I already said, really enjoyed the book!
